The Word--Part 1

Nov 14, 2022

In speaking of the Bible, believers often refer to the Bible as "The Word of God.

Now, in using the term "word," a Christian may use this term as a synonym for Christ or a specific prophetic word, such as a personal prophecy. However, the term "Word" [notice the capital form] is often used to refer to the entire revelation of Yahweh as revealed in the Scriptures.

The Psalmist  used three different words—"omer,' "imrah," and "dabar" (Strong's Concordance) to express what we translate into English as "Word." In conjunction with the three Hebrew words that we translate into English as "Word," the Psalmist also used specific Hebrew terms meaning "Thy" or "Thine." These modifying words indicate that the "Word" [the particular portion of the Scripture referred to] refers to God’s spoken revelation to man. Only once, in Psalm 139, does the author use any of three Hebrew terms ["omer,' "imrah," and "dabar"]  to refer to himself.

Comfort for the People of God

Aug 18, 2022

Prophecy—August 11, 2022.

This prophetic word seems to be the last of a series that the Lord spoke to me from August 4, 2022-August 11, 2022. If I understand the Lord correctly, while the time of forbearance is ending for unjust, unrighteous leadership, God will rescue, affirm, and restore those who long for Him [even if they don’t realize it yet].

Comfort. Speak “Comfort” to My people.

For just as I deal sternly with the proud, the rebellious, and the unrepentant, so I will deal with My people tenderly. I will touch them as you would handle a delicate rose without bruising a single petal of the rose. I will lift them in My arms as a mother cradles her newborn child, and I will walk beside them as a groom walks with his bride.

I will bring them joy and peace. I will break off all the heavy loads—the false expectations and deceptions that the enemy and the false ministers placed on My people so they may walk in freedom. Those who...

There Is a Shift Happening

Aug 15, 2022

The month of July was a busy time for me.  I published and launched my new book, Out of the Ashes.  I also assisted [in a small way] in the launch of another book, Ambushed by Joy,  written by Hayley Hewitt.   So much of July focused on books, advertising, and promotional concerns that I began to dream about it all.

However, that was July.  Today is August 15, and a shift is happening in the heavenlies.  Now, natural, noticeable changes have occurred with the start of a new school year.  School buses are rolling, and parents must deal with new schedules and school supply costs.  However, I am speaking of a much more profound change [or shift].  The time of God's forbearance is coming to an end.

Over the last few months, God spoke encouraging words to His people.  But, now, God is sending a warning:  It is time to repent, to evaluate our thoughts and actions, and change them if they disagree or fail...

A Great Divide

Apr 21, 2022

A division is occurring within the Body of Christ. Terms like "Conservative Christian" and "Liberal Christian" are being tossed around. But the true division occurring among believers is obscured by incorrect usage of such terms. If believers only look at the number of many social outreaches a particular church body is involved in, they will miss the root cause of the division entirely.

Recently I read a very heart-felt editorial from a pastor expressing distress about this division in the Body of Christ. The pastor’s concern and compassion for people were easily discernible throughout the article I read. The pastor expressed dismay that several local churches had joined together to host a men’s meeting that was designed to encourage men to be leaders in the family. The pastor felt the money spent on the meeting would have been better spent feeding the poor. The pastor felt the "Conservative Christians" within the local churches...

Don't Quit! Rest

Apr 07, 2022
It is April; the flowers are blooming, bumblebees are buzzing outside, and the days are growing longer. There is a sense of rightness that the earth with its plants and animals is awakening from the stupor and cold of winter.

Oh, beloved. Do not be misled. This spring is like no other. The heavens are roaring; spiritual warfare is increasing; and the effects of that warfare are being manifested in the earth.

We as believers in Jesus Christ are being called to respond. We are to arise, knowing that the gates of hell cannot prevail against the Kingdom of God.

Yet you may personally be experiencing great difficulty. I know; the other night I had physiological symptoms that resembled in a very, very, very mild form something like those who have suffered from PTSD. I have never faced combat or suffered the type of trauma that creates PTSD, and I was shocked at my reaction [ much milder than that faced by people who have been diagnosed with PTSD] to a...

Morning Prayer

Mar 15, 2022

We of all people have eternal hope.  While wars, deaths, and other troubles bring us sorrow, we do not have to be desolate.  We have the peace and strength of the Lord to draw upon.

I have lost a friend and mentor.  Yet while I will grieve, I know that I will see my friend again.  I know I can love and uphold my friends and the family, knowing we can all come to the Father and pour out our hearts to Him.

Blessed be the Lord who knows and carries our sorrow.

What Level Are You?

Aug 26, 2021
Recently I posted a couple of videos which I believed were inspired by the Holy Spirit. I did not ask that people believe me, butI did ask that they would watch the videos and pray about them.

I have had very little response. However, one person did reply saying that they would not watch the videos because of the way I looked. They thought I looked crazy, that I had "crazy eyes". My brothers and sisters in Christ, don't be alarmed!  I have no ability to "zap" you with my expressions!

Please do not let my looks cause you to miss something important. We live in difficult times, and we need to understand the days we are living in. If God can use a donkey, He can use me! My responsibility is to share what I believe God is saying; yours is to evaluate what is said.

When I posted the video, I asked you to watch it and to pray over it.  Today, I also ask that you ponder your position in Christ before you watch the video. Where do you stand...

From Junk to Treasure

Jun 04, 2021
Dear Everyone,
I had no idea that I had not posted a blog for a month--I  got distracted and apologize.

I have been busy writing and painting! The writing has been a bit of a slog, requiring discipline. The painting has been a joy!

No, I am not trying to be DeVinci or Picasso: I have been painting an old table. Now, when Mike and I were first married, I refinished a number of old furniture pieces. I haven't done so for some time, because I didn't really need anything [nor did I have space to do so].

But I needed a table that could seat six. The one I found was the right size but the legs were damaged to the point that one of the supports came off in my hand. The lady selling it was apologetic for its condition and sold it very cheaply. So for the last week I have been drilling, hammer pegs [after consulting with Woodworker Bob], mixing glue and sawdust to fill in some serious cracks and damaged areas, painting, and then refinishing the top of the...

Looking Back . . . [Part One]

Dec 05, 2020

The Bible warns us not to look back or yearn for the past [See Luke 9:62].  We are not to be afraid of the unknown in our future but go forth, confident of the Lord's provision as we walk in His purpose.

However, sometimes it is good to review past prophetic words so that we are strengthened and encouraged to go forth into the future.  The key is not to turn back [as Lot's wife did] yearning for the past pleasures found in evil or because we fear the future.

In the Bible verse referenced above, Jesus told a man that shallow commitments to the Kingdom of God were worthless.  Jesus was looking for men and women who would not let their past lives or personal ambitions distract them from their course any more than someone plowing should be distracted. A person plowing a field in Jesus' day had to fully concentrate on his task so that he could plow in a straight line.  If the plowman was distracted, the animal leading the plow would wander off...

I Stand to See

Nov 06, 2020
...:

I know that some of you, even if you love me, wonder if I am "off my rocker" at times. I know you scratch your heads when I say that God speaks to people today and that sometimes He reveals His purposes and plans to me.  I have made some fairly bold statements lately, and you wonder why I speak this way. Someone did ask: what if you are wrong?

I immediately thought of 2 Kings 6:33-7:1-2. I also thought of Exodus 14:13.
Within my own mind, I have decided that I will stand my watch to see what God will do, so I know how to answer when I am reproved. (Hab. 2:1)

Now, let me expand my thoughts a bit. The big question seems to be:
Can a prophet make a mistake? Yes.

To be precise, however, we actually need to look at two different questions:

Can a prophet make a mistake and be a false prophet? yes
Can a prophet make a mistake and be a Godly prophet? yes

These statements sound contradictory but are actually...
